How Le Sucre Came to be
Ever since I can remember I’ve been in the kitchen. Growing up I would bake cookies with my Mom and be my Dad’s pancake helper on Sunday mornings. As I grew older my passion for baking grew stronger, so strong that I actually went to college to study Baking and Pastry Arts. While in school I was fortunate to study abroad in France and that’s where my love grew even more.
Studying at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in the small town of Yssingeaux was an amazing experience. Being able to travel throughout France during our time off gave me a whole new appreciation for French culture and the incredible boulangeries and pâtisseries that are in every town from Annecy to Paris. Fast forward to 2020, the quarantine had me baking almost every day, reminiscing on my travels throughout France and even trying to re-learn a bit of French. It only seemed fitting to blend these loves together, Le Sucre meaning sugar and the homey warm feeling of a Bake Shop. And that’s how Le Sucre Bake Shop came to be!
